This popular tour will explore its many angles: artsy, historic and multi-cultural, including Hamtramck Stadium, the Polish Art Center, the must-see-to-believe Hamtramck Disneyland, the Power House that is getting national media attention and a Buddhist Zen Center. Riders will also get a chance to grab a treat at the charming Cafe 1923!

Get inside info on the oldest neighborhood in Detroit. Check out Victorian homes, historic churches and buildings, vibrant and dynamic businesses and urban farms. Stops include Most Holy Trinity, Ponyride, North Corktown and several of its community gardens and urban farms, the site of Tiger Stadium, Michigan Central Station and Roosevelt Park. Riders will head out from the RiverWalk to architecturally significant Lafayette Park and, from there, onto Eastern Market, one of Southeast Michigan’s most-vibrant places. At the market, cyclists will hear an overview of the improvement plan for the area. After a couple of slices from neighborhood favorite Supino Pizzeria, we will walk off lunch with a tour of the farmers market before hopping back on our bikes. The ride back to the Wheelhouse will zoom down the Dequindre Cut rail-to-trail! Lunch included in price of tour.

Detroit has a plethora of amazing public art, and this tour travels from the east side through Midtown and Downtown to take in a wide variety, ranging in scale, material, era and movement. Stops include the Heidelberg Project, Dequindre Cut, Lafayette Park, Josephine Ford Sculpture Garden at College for Creative Studies, Wayne State University, Campus Martius and Hart Plaza. This tour is artist-led.
