fra diavolo

Who wants a delicious six course Italian meal while also supporting some great Detroit area causes like the Detroit Sound Conservancy and Hotter Than July? Well, you’re in luck! Steven Reaume’s pop-up “Fra Diavolo” is promising to be the tastiest bit of charity you could do all year.

This is all going down this Saturday, March 28th, at the Bankle Building on Woodward in Detroit. There will be two seatings, the first is at 6:30 pm and the second at 9. Fra Diavolo is the fourth part of the 4X pop-up series by Reaume’s NOODL and will feature spicy sauces and fusilli noodles.

For $50, yofra diavolo 1u get a mouthwatering six-course meal that will, most likely, fill up your carb count for the month. But hey, with menu items like Red Pepper Fusilli with homemade Italian sausage and roasted garlic as a start to the pasta dishes, I’d say it’s worth it.

The rest of the menu is eclectic. Following the Red Pepper Fusilli, there will be a Fusilli Ubriaco with oxtail ragú and a crispy soppressata, Collard Green Fusilli with jerk ham knuckle and Shichimi, and the final pasta dish is a black olive Fusilli with marinated anchovies in a Puttanesca sauce.

If you still have room and haven’t succumbed to the well deserved food coma, there will also be a Aleppo Chili Brownie with ginger ice cream and candied pecans.

Each of the $50 tickets include entry to :FUNDAMENT, a live music experience immediately following the 9 o’clock seating. I’ll stop being coy, it’s going to be one hell of a party.

Tickets are going fast, so be sure to snatch them up while you still can. You can grab your tickets for Fra Diavolo here. If you’re cool with missing some amazing food porn and just want to hit the party, you can find your $20 tickets here.

A portion of every ticket will go to  Detroit Sound Conservancy and Hotter Than July.
