In a world… where food is the hero and a city is overrun by villains demanding upwards of $20 for a meal, one food truck stands alone.
This new superhero themed “mobile gourmet deli sandwich vehicle” will be swooping in to save the day at several of Metro-Detroit’s favorite events this summer.
If you’re very lucky, you may spot them at Eastern Market, Motor City Pride, Mo Pop Music Festival, B. Nektar’s Spring Mead Fest, and Ferndale’s Beer Festival. This weekend, they will be at Motor City Comic Con at the Suburban Showplace in Novi. There, they will be serving up delicious justice such as “The Wolverine”, their most noteworthy creation. Using several Michigan ingredients, this Marvel-ous creation uses Boar’s Head deli chicken, gorgonzola cheese, lettuce, and tomatoes, all on top of a cherry walnut bread from Madison Height’s Knickerbocker Bakery. But wait! There’s more! To completely thwart all of your hunger, the not-at-all-evil masterminds drizzle their super-secret spicy cherry sauce over the whole thing.
Citizens who stop by the truck can treat themselves to classic (hero) sandwiches, or lurk in the shadows by trying the more bold and unexpected sandwiches (villains).
The Hero or Villain Sandwichmobile is doing its best to save everyday citizens from the perils of hunger. But they need your help! “The Wolverine” can’t help damsels in distress hunger out of a loud food truck. The heroes’ alter-egos have started a Kickstarter campaign to help them in their quest to rescue bellies from the treacherous hunger pangs. These crime hunger-fighting crusaders are in need of some new equipment, including a quieter generator, to make it easier for them to aid your lunch time.
So will you be a hero, or are you one of those men who “wants to watch the sandwiches burn”?
